A wild Spider Monkey

Posted by Kerstin and Herve (Paris, France) on 29 October 2007 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

October the 13th, at the end of the day, we heard the sounds of a group of Spider Monkeys few hundred meters away from our camp.
Kerstin, Waldecy, a Brazilian friend and me ran in the direction of the noise.
Waldecy imitated the monkeys to attract their attention, and it worked ! In the meanwhile We tried some pictures.
It appeared to be a solitary monkey who was being chased out by two others. They stopped their affairs few minutes to speak with us and launch some pieces of wood in our direction.

We left them in peace to find a place with pure water in order to have a wash before the night.
