Yesterday, in the early morning, the moon has been eclipted by the earth shadow. That's one of the picture I got with our 300mm lens. Maybe you will see the white point near the moon which appears to be a planet. H.

Wow! Your lens sure did a wonderful job. I've tried shooting at a moon (not eclipse though) with my 300mm lens once before also, but it didn't come any close to yours.

Great image! There are many such images around today, but this one is the only one I've seen with a bright crescent!
