The lighting is really perfect right on Jesus. I am not religious either but I always find that churches have this special feel about them that put you in a spiritual mode.

Well, I am religious (in an unorthodox sort of way), though I rarely respond positively to religious art, esp. modern crucifixes. But this photograph is breath-taking. I think it's partly in the contrast betwen the art and the natural stone/wood; partly the way you have captured shadow and light. But there is something in the art itself that seems to say, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" I would like to see what the same sculptor would do with Job, or Moses as an old man.
